Checking your computer’s performance for audio recording.

One of the first things to do, is to check if your system is free of abnormal DPC (Deferred Procedure Calls.) spikes.
This can be done with a free tool called “DPC Latency Checker”.

It can be downloaded at : www.thesycon.de . Free utilities.
No installation is needed. Just unzip and and run.
If you are using Vista or Windows 7, Click OK at the UAC alert.

If your system graphs stay below the 500 µs (microseconds),
you’re good to go.
