I'm using an audio interface (M-Audio FW410) that connects via firewire, but my new laptop (as most) has no firewire port.
If I were to use an adapter (like IEEE1394 to USB) to connect my interface, am I likely to experience additional latency due to the extra signal path?
If you have any advise I would love to hear it. Don't want to buy a new interface until I'm sure I can't use my old one!
