Kheetah Vubatus Asked: Using protools 9 without hardware plugged in?

My friend, who owns a mac and protools 9, is able to open protools without having any piece of hardware hooked up to it.He sets the audio playback to his native card and it's all Good.I also have the full pro tools 9, and i would like to be able to do this.I, however, cannot even load protools to change settings without having some hardware plugged in.If i plugged in the hardware, is there a setting i could go to which would allow me to use protools w/o having an interface set up?I'm just mixing right now.

Also a side note, i have PT for windows.

Ram is not the problem.4 GB ram is good enough to handle any game. But the problem is with the processor and graphics card.It has pentium E5800 dual core processor which has now become outdated. Most of the new games require core 2 duo or core 2 quad processor. But it can handle games like cod waw,cod 4 and mine craft. Now coming to the graphics. It is really poor card for gaming purpose. It can handle games like cod world at war but not cod black ops.Yes,it can easily handle minecraft.
